  Great deal! Best things about the bundle: the zoom lens, 2 extra batteries and a charger, large SD card, UV protector, LCD display protectors. The only thing I can think of that could better this type of bundle is UV protector for the zoom lens.

  One insignificant item (the tripod) didn’t ship with the bundle, and as soon as I mentioned it to the seller (along with the fact that I was happy without it!), they sent it right away. I would definitely buy from Focus Camera again.

  I shoot mostly Canon for my work and own three Canon bodies and lots of lenses. I like my Canon gear. I bought the Sony a6000 a year ago just to have something lighter to carry around. It’s an amazing camera with features that most Canons and Nikons do not. For example, shooting 11 frames per second, something useful for capturing your child jumping into a leaf pile. You can program one of the buttons to autofocus on the near eye of a subject when using a shallow depth of field. It has focus tracking that is stunning. You can register faces in the camera so it knows who to focus on in groups (good for wedding shooters, which I am not.) Etc.

  I bought the camera with the kits lens, which isn’t that good. I now own three other lenses. When I shoot events, the a6000 is an easy second camera to bring along, even with the telephoto lens. The camera is quiet as well.

  For anyone considering one of the lower end DSLRs– the Rebels etc. I’d recommend checking this out. As for this bundle, I wish it were around a year ago because it would have saved me a bundle.

  Finally,many of the coolest features of this camera are not well explained with the manual. Go to YouTube and start watching–you’ll find a goldmine of information that will help you get the most of the camera.

  There are many reviews of this camera over on the main Sony Alpha a6000 page. I’ll just say that as a novice photographer, this camera has everything I could want and more in a body that’s much smaller and lighter than a DSLR with the same sized APS-C sensor. The autofocus is crisp and clear, and the built-in camera settings provide an easy transition from a point-and-click camera.

  This bundle from Focus is a really well thought-out package. In particular the a6000 does not come with an SD card and if you take video the large capacity card is ideal. The spare battery and wall charger also come in handy because the camera runs down batteries fairly wast with the WiFi and big screen. There are also goodies like an SD card reader, lens cloth and brush, a filter for the kit lens, software, mini tripod, and a sturdy camera bag big enough for the camera and both lenses with room to spare.
