I bought this at Best Buy and have no regrets,
Colors on the KS are better but not by leaps and bounds.
The picture of the KS out of the box was pretty horrible but after careful calibration, it’s fantastic. I highly recommend this tv.
The HDR functionality works well but the image improvement isn’t worth the added cost, alone.
I was hoping to be more wowed by this tv but I’m still completely satisfied.

I can’t speak to the advanced metrics of black levels, color saturation, and motion blur because, quite frankly, I don’t have the patience or resources to evaluate them. However, I can’t find anything about the picture quality to complain about having watched content in both standard HD (DirecTV) and ultra HD (4K Netflix feed). I don’t game on this TV, so no comment there.
One note is that if you plan to mount this on the wall, it may require special mounting bolts. Most mounting brackets come with bolts that are no more than 40mm long, and the spacers that come with the TV require bolts that are 43-45mm. The Samsung made bracket supposedly has the correct hardware, but I can’t confirm that.
In my opinion, this unit was well worth the money. I don’t know if it will last as long as my last TV, but so far so good.

I spent way too many hours of researching SUHD/OLED and in the end I just couldn’t pull the trigger on settling for what my eyes perceived to be an inferior picture to the KS8000. Plus I saw that High Dynamic Range (HDR) was extremely important to future proof your investment and this TV has the highest HDR rating (HDR1000) while it says OLED is HDR compatible they are not HDR1000, in fact I cant find a rating anywhere.
Lastly the KS8000 is CEA 4K UHD certified, which I have read meets all the min requirements to be called 4K UHD.
If you’re considering this TV my recommendation is go for it!

2 drawbacks: diagrams for instructions are great but would like written instructions to accompany them, as it made the assembly time longer than it had to be. All parts were there are fit together well. Cast aluminum has a gray residuew that gets onto your hands, which gets all over the unti while you are assembling…and your clothes. But overall I am very satisfied with this purchase. Made much better than those cheap “steel” ones on the market. We roll in onto our lanai to watch football on the weekends and we really enjoy it!
