  I’ve had this camera for about 2 months now and have shot about 1500 frames and video. It is super sharp and has a great lens. The optical zoom has plenty of coverage. I was concerned about the plastic case but it has not been an issue at all. It is very solidly built. Battery life excellent and it has never gone dead (but I charge it after every use) . I carry it everywhere with me and it fits on your person well even in jeans pockets. I couldn’t do that with my Nikon coolpix P7700 which I had just purchased prior to this. I shot the two cameras side by side on a recent trip and they were both excellent, but the Leica is much smaller and about half the weight too. The automatic lens cover keeps the lens clean and surprisingly free of pocket lint.
  It comes with Lightroom software but you have to make an account with Leica and download it from there. A CD is NOT included with the packaging. I would easily give this camera 5 stars except for three things. 1. The flash is located on the wrong side of the camera. Your finger gets in the way and blocks the light when you take your shot. It should be on the other side where the red logo is, like every other point and shoot. A pretty bad annoyance I corrected with a piece of foam tape added below the flash to prevent my finger from getting in the way of the flash. 2. The main control button on the top of the camera catches when you take it out of your pocket causing it to change settings. This probably wouldn’t be a problem for a woman who carries it in a purse. 3. The electronic view finder is useless. It is way too small, especially if you wear glasses. They should have put in an optical one or just left it off.
  If you are the type of person seriously considering dropping $700 on a point and shoot, you must be an serious and experienced photographer. I can tell you that you won’t be disappointed.

  Amazing camera, has WIFI and iphone app that permits you to see your camera screen on your iphone! You can take pictures from your iphone and set timer, change it to manual, set flash etc all from the app. Highly recommended. In love with this color and model. First model that permits you to take video too. Every penny is worth it!

  This camera is used by many professionals, yet it is easy to use for the average shooter. Don’t let the price stop you. It is worth every penny. Take some time to read reviews and on line suggestions. Once you have even the basics down, you will take some great pictures. The zoom is very great with an effective 200mm ability.

  While it took wonderful pictures, I dumped my Canon Rebel T3 and all the lenses because I hated dragging it on overseas trips. This camera slips into my shirt pocket!

  One word of warning, if you have big hands, this camera will be a little harder to handle, as it is very small.
