  I purchased this on a tip from an audiophile friend, on the market for a new sound system for my home theater room. Very impressed by the expansive product listing and detailed tech specs. Have not yet settled on specific components or budget, but am leaps and bounds beyond where I reached after months of internet searching and visiting numerous individual product and company websites as well as brick-and-mortar shops. Highly recommend for anyone with a taste for fine audio.

  Let’s just say this right from the start: Getting specific information about products in the audiophile world, without all the hype, is almost impossible. Most magazines have sold out for advertising dollars and pollute the information stream with nonsense and unverifiable claims.

  One of the things that is so refreshing about this publication is that it is products are listed logically with the same format for all specifications. Now you can do some research and compare products based on information. How refreshing. Now, this is not just about boring specifications; the publication is beautiful. The layout design and images are very tasteful and pleasing to pour over.

  It is a resource that one should keep around for the year, refer to when making decisions about what will be the next piece of gear that you will be adding.

  This publication is an excellent guide for an audiophile of any level. It is beautifully compiled and brings together an extensive list of companies. While other audiophile literature often muddle the details of equipment and manufacturers, Audio Annual cleanly highlights some excellent products and presents a synopsis of each company’s raison d’être. As someone who is always looking to learn about high-end audio products, the publication revealed companies that I had never even heard of. I will absolutely be using this as my reference prior to purchasing my next major audiophile splurge.
