For my uses (video reviews, family photos, product photos) this camera is perfect!
I couldn’t be more pleased with this camera. It takes excellent photographs with low noise and beautiful saturation. It’s wonderful for taking family photos, landscapes, portraits, product photography, and more! There are free tutorial videos online that cover its functions in depth which I found very helpful prior to using this camera.
I recommend it to anyone who has been using a point and shoot, or their smartphone to take photos and wants a bit more. It’s easy to learn how to use this DSLR and yet there is a lot of room to grow and learn the manual techniques to photography if you want to do so.
I’ve owned many cameras, but the D3300 is by far my favorite and one I can see using for a very long time. I highly recommend it for its performance, features and ease of use for non-pro photographers who still want professional results.

UPDATE: 12/13/15 – I took a photo of my Mom’s dog on Thanksgiving (without her knowing…) and it turned out so sharp and realistic that I had it blown up on a canvas to 16″ x 20″. It’s stunningly sharp and when I gave it to her (yes, a tad early, but I just couldn’t wait…) she loved it! **It’s the dog with the purple background in my uploaded photo samples.
Without this camera that photo would not be possible. Really love this camera more each time I use it!
