Small Musical Speakers,
Despite this situation; I needed speakers to listen to music from my computer. So I tried these small Talisman speakers. At first, sound was detailed but a little tiresome. However, after about 100 hours of break in, the sound become pleasant, detailed, natural and well balanced. Talismans have decent high frequency for one way speakers. The bass is good for such a small speakers too. I was surprised at how deep it is. But most important thing, Serene Audio speakers are musical and enjoyable. Sometimes I even prefer listening to Talismans more that my excellent Audeze LCD 2F headphones.
Yes, Talismans don’t have such transparent midrange like some Lowther amplified by 2A3 amplifiers or don’t have such prominent mid-bass like Altec 604E, but these speakers can compete with good modern $3K audiophile monitors in regard to midrange, naturalness and music enjoyment.
There is one important thing. These speakers will enjoy a good quality DAC. If you connect them to computer output, you don’t receive even 50% of potential of these great speakers.
