SVS Prime Satellite Speakers Black Ash (Pair)

- Despite being small enough to fit into nearly any room and system, the overachieving Prime Satellite simply outclasses cheap HTIB speakers, packing the same technology, sound quality and performance as its bigger brothers in the Prime and Ultra lines.
- Available in premium-grade piano gloss black or handsome black ash finish, the Prime Satellite is not only handsome but functional too – with an integral keyhole bracket which allows for easy wall-mounting.
- Leveraging design and technology from the SVS Ultra family, the Prime Satellite features high-quality drivers and crossover components simply not found anywhere else in this segment: The 1″ aluminum dome tweeter utilizes an FEA-optimized diffuser which delivers a very open ‘airy’ presentation and extremely unveiled highs.
- The 4.5″ woofer delivers surprising bass response and punch, and features a polypropylene cone, an aluminum shorting ring for reduced distortion, a vented voice coil former, and unique all-new cast ABS-fiberglass composite basket for precise component alignment.
- The SVS SoundMatch 2-way crossover ties it all together with premium-grade capacitors, air-core inductors and heavy-trace printed circuit boards. Expertly refined topology ensures a smooth response and transition between drivers with excellent polar response and phase coherency for amazing imaging.

I would recommend not buying the more expensive gloss black in the …,
Highly recommended for a small room and for those that need small footprint.
A speaker I recommend over these would be the Energy V-Mini, they are are no longer made but if you look hard enough you could find a set being sold online, the V-Mini MSRP is much higher but the clear out price is around 80-100$ per speaker and they are a step up from the prime satellites, I own both.
None the less these are very good speakers for those using them in a small room and needing a small form factor.

5 stars….Flawless performance for the money,
Now of course they can’t go deep in bass. so I’m sending any thing below 120hz to my Jamo sub360 which is blending perfectly. (although I would like to get the SB-1000 subwoofer in the future)
They sounded ok on first start up but after setting/equing the three front speakers properly (I like the sound to be absolutely flat like a studio monitor) they sounded outstanding in both music & movies without any noticeable weakness in their performance. I really liked them in 2 channel stereo for music. still have to get done equing the surrounds to live the full experience. they can go loud just enough for my needs Not to mention the build quality & they are quite heavy for their size.
I am very pleased with them & would definitely recommend them.

Little Powerhouses!,
The SVS satellites arrived in a seemingly bomb proof container, with a sturdy single box and some of the heaviest, tightest fitting Styrofoam cradles holding the tops and bottom of the speakers in place that I have ever seen……… Top notch, no doubt about it.
The fit and finish is flawless. They must have been designed and assembled on Jupiter, because they shouldn’t be as heavy as they are for their size. I chose to remove the grill and they look great without it, but they also looked good with it too.
I installed them as my surrounds and they sound fantastic. I crossed them over at 100hz and they just seem to beg to be cranked up. During the lightning storm scene in War of the Worlds, they pounded out the lightning strikes at -7db and sounded 3 times bigger than they are. No distortion or compression at all.
My X3200’s Audyssey XT did a great job of matching them to my ELACs and multi channel music sounds great with them. I guess I expected them to be tiny sounding, but these little bulldogs fight way above their size……… There is a video on YT that shows what the tweeter, woofer, x-over and cabinet all look like, search on YT for “SVS prime inside and out vid 22”.
With the way these sound, I would have no hesitation using 5 of them with a good subwoofer in a small to medium sized room………. They’re that good.
