So far I have loved the X-A2. I wanted to upgrade from a point and shoot to a mirrorless DSLR type of camera and I was going to get the XA1, but waited for this model to come out. It has been fun to use and only took a night to figure out most of the cool effects on it. I’m not ready to shoot manually yet, but the auto and scene options have been pretty accurate so far. The battery life has been great. I took my camera on vacation and it lasted a few days without recharging (maybe 100 pictures taken each day). I like that I can wirelessly transfer the pictures to my iphone too, it was very easy to figure out once you got the Fuji app. All in all, this is a great camera. I’ll update later if needed, but so far I have been pleased. Again, I’m not an expert, but for someone who wants to upgrade to a compact DSLR type of camera and who knows the basics it has been wonderful. its also nice that you can just upgrade to a nicer X series lens later on.

The Fujifilm X-A2 is a very capable mirrorless camera, but it’s a tad pricey for an entry-level model.

    PROS
    + Solid image quality.
    + 5.6fps burst shooting.
    + Attractive design.
    + Sharp kit lens.
    + Built-in flash.
    + Selfie LCD + Wi-Fi.

    CONS
    – A little slow to focus.
    – Doesn’t support add-on EVF.
    – No remote control via Wi-Fi.
    – Video limited to 1080p30.
    – No mic input.

A good camera with solid image quality, but you are going to want to compare with this Sony to ensure you get the best, bang for bucks, here: http://amzn.to/1Ona2Vi

I am very impressed with my x a2! I own 2 nikon DSLR’s and they are, of course excellent. But as I get older I was interested in a lighter camera bag. I am an amateur photo journalist and carrying that weight got to me. I am still getting to know it, but I have many images that are the equal to my nikon. It is known as the best low light camera under $500. And I concur!! When I added their 35mm 1.4 “prime” (not zoom) lens it’s lowlight capabilities are quite impressive. I have been a photographer for 45 years and I don’t understand how a camera and lens can capture more light than my eye, but it does!! There are a few bugaboos…especially in low light it is not as not nearly as fast to focus as my nikon DSLR. It has some ergonomic issues, the worst is where they put the focus confirmation light is hard NOT to cover with your thumb as you take a picture. It has no viewfinder, but that’s why it is so affordable. The club pic is in a VERY dark NYC club with black walls. My nikon could never do this without a flash, but this baby can.GO FOR IT!!!
