Misleading Advertising – Buyer Beware!,
As others have stated, the camera is the real deal, the accessories are not. The written and visual description of the items contained within this package deal is false. The included lenses are not name brand. Almost everything is either by Vivitar or Xit. The only items in the kit that are valued over $20 is the bag ($22) and extra lenses. The lenses can be purchased for around $30 for the pair and are from Vivitar. The items from Xit are hit or miss according to the reviews.
For the novice, this kit will be fine. But honestly, it all because the camera itself makes the kit worth it. I was too late to cancel the order or I would have and I would have gotten a bundle that came with an “actual” name brand extra lens. I feel as though Amazon should step in and demand the retailers of this kit provide at no cost, the actual items listed and displayed (as well as to past customers). Maybe some sort of class-action?
The approximate value (if you were to purchase separately on amazon) is $145-155.
