Soooooo cool in flight!!,
Customer Video Review Length:: 1:30 Mins
Amazing looking hex and pretty fast too! The video is some outdoor flying. Please check out my YouTube channel (Forward Flight) for more videos on this and many other multirotors.
This UDI hexacopter is so cool looking in flight. I have had a couple space ship flyers but they have all been pretty slow and really bad in the wind. This one is nice and quick and with it’s 6 motors it can fight the wind decently. This hex has 3 speed rates and one yaw. The yaw isn’t fast but it’s not painfully slow either. In high rates it has really deep pitch though, So turning is still nice and tight. It doesn’t like aggressive turns with the aileron so use more yaw in fast turns or it will wobble.
This hex has nice LEDs and lights up awesome. You can fly it at night but it is a little challenging, as it only has one little red light in the back and one little blue light in the front for orientation. It comes with 2 batteries and you get about 6 or 7 minutes of flight each depending on how you fly.
Extremely durable for a toy quad. The space saucer shape is tough and protects the motors and the props. I have crashed it many time and have no damage.
The camera is not bad for a toy. Not a lot of jello and the picture is pretty clear. The WiFi FPV works pretty good, with all WiFi FPV you get latency. So you can’t fly it in purely FPV but it makes it easy to see the video you are taking, while you are taking it.
Overall this is a very cool looking and surprisingly fast hexasaucer! Love it!
I was sent this hex to test and review.

Awesome design, can take a beating, and good quality.,
This is actually made by UDI R/C. I have several UDI quadcopters and LOVE them. They can take a serious beating, the batteries last a long time, and they are perfect right out of the box. This one is really no different. Right out of the box (after you charge the batteries), this quadcopter requires little to no transmitter adjustments to get a near perfect hover and super easy flight. This is an FPV quadcopter meaning it will transfer the video feed “live” to your smartphone via the WiFi signal. This doesn’t use internet WiFi, rather, it connects via WiFi waves which requires you to “connect” to the quadcopter like it is a wireless router. As such, you tend to get a bit farther distance thank just the regular 2.4ghz transmitter.
The controls are all standard for UDI and similar quadcopters. The image quality is actually quite good because it is considered full HD. The image quality is excellent on a smartphone and if you happen to record to the memory card and transfer it to a large TV, its definitely still good but you can notice it is 720p when trying to play on large screens.

Cheerwing Voyager,
Regardless, It flew really well and was a blast! Balance was great straight out of the box with a near perfect hover. I haven’t flown to many hex units but there is no real difference to a quad really. The RC unit is cheap and nasty which is common place on any toy quad under $2-$300 so nothing new here. I like the idea they have integrated with the phone controls but I have never been one to trust a smartphone in that function having used a very expensive quad that uses that method (and it is an absolute POS twenty times over FWIW)
Generally UDI make decent flying RC units I have used and own quite a few of them. They are one of the better manufacturers out there – keep in mind they are toys still and overall quality wont be great. Having owned plenty of toy rc units I kind of know what to expect and I think you will get some value here.
Product provided for review – its just my opinion.
